Our prayer coordinator, Brother Ralph Murrell, is asking that once each day for the rest of this month that we read the following verses and then pray the following
two prayers for our church:
A Prayer for Enlightenment: (Ephesians 1:17-29)
“…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and that what is the surpassing greatness of His power…”
· Pray God would reveal who Jesus is, and what He has done for us.
· Pray God would open the eyes of our heart to see for our lives and church God’s plan, God’s purpose, God’s power.
A Prayer of Empowerment: (Ephesians3:17-21) “…that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever…”
·Pray to know God's power in order to be pure in the inner man.
·Pray our hearts would provide Christ a home where he could find joy.
·Pray to experience Christ's love in order to share it with others.
·Pray God will conquer us, possess us, and fill us with
His Spirit.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty."
Psalm 91:1
Invite someone to come to Sunday school with you
so they would be led to experience the
new life that is in Christ Jesus.
Remember, we grow
through Bible study!
